Hi all! For my fleet i chose blackheart...
I got 7 extra points: 3 for Bolingbroke, 2 for 0 limit ransom crew and 1 for B****** and W******** that were related to the pirates lords and Colringbk didn't mention.
For the complete rules check the forums.
Since Vlad already made one fleet with Blacky (i look at the other fleets before posting mine, yeah!) Using Deliverance and Gilded Monkey, i decided to go with the Harbinger.
Basically, you use her to make derelicts from the enemy ships; then you teleport home and unload all of their gold on your HI.
To catch up with enemy runners, i added an helsman as well as a SAC captain with plenty of Sac fodder.
Stinkpot shot is a must for this fleet: since there wasn't any canceller available, the Stinkpot becomes really really useful, especaially considering that, with the new ruling, a simple oarsman could deny Harbinger's ability. Also, the stinkpot shot doesn't eliminate crew, simply shuts down all of them for 1 turn: that is, your opponent won't be able to stop the stealing of the ship using some oarsmans, and you will get the ship as deadly as it was.
On your HI there are two pieces of equipment (listed in the events section) that will be boarded onto the ship you capture with harbinger. Or, should you roll a 1 with the stinkpot, you still have a spare Shot at your Hi :-)
Gilded Monkey, along with the Helmsman, will run to the nearest island using Hidden Cove. Then will run back home as fast as she can.
And if your opponent finds a high-value treasure, use Gilded Monkey's ability to steal it from his/her HI!
Once you stole some derelicts, use them as treasure runners!
And use FoTG as usual.
The challenge was a little bit limiting, so no great tactics this time. Just an old fleet that has good chances of winning. Also, i think it is very piratish, to steal ships, especially i think that Blackheart would be proud of this fleet! :-)
ciao! Fede
