General description:
Scarlet Witch is a game altering piece for the small price of 35 points. Probability control is arguably one of the best abilities in the game. With her height and moderate speed she can stay out of harms way while she follows your heavy hitter making them more accurate and protecting him.
Uses:
Obviously she is not a power house, but don't think she can't do damage. She has 2 damage and 9 attack to start but don't just send her into the fray. The other key use is psychological because she likes to mess with your opponent's strategies. You can negate someone's key roll or stop a critical hit or knock back hit or save a critical failure. Plus she moves for free with the Avengers Team ability.
Strategies and game play:
Scarlet Witch is a great when sitting behind allies and altering the outcomes of everybody's rolls. After she takes a point of damage (or if you push her) she gets barrier to then protect herself and the characters that she is following. I can't stress how useful probability control is.
Combos with other miniatures:
Partnering her with characters that have range and telekinesis is a good way to keep enemies away while you shoot them. Also, I found that using a character with mind control is better when you could get two chances to control an opposing unit.
Ways to counteract it:
Well, outwit is a good way to stop probability control. Beating her to death is another way to stop her shenanigans. She only has 5 clix of health so a heavy object to the face tends to kill her. She should be pretty protected by your high cost characters and her own barrier.
Strengths/Pros:
Cheap Cost
Probability Control
Barrier
Flight
Avenger Team ability
Weaknesses/Cons:
Only 5 clix of health
Average stats
Artwork and aesthetics:
It is a nice sculpt and painted fairly well. I really like the old school Scarlet Witch outfit that she has on that is really cool.
Overall rating:
I have to give Scarlet Witch a 9 out of 10. I am never disappointed by her. She fits into most armies with ease.
