Yet another attempt to make the ideal American fleet, this battle group explores the possibility of dumping Constitution and her burdensome point cost for the USS Enterprise (18pts, 2s(5x), S+S, built in extra action on 5 or 6). Combining this beast with David Porter (captain ability / broadsides attack) and a helmsman results in a vessel far more compatible with the fast, 'blitzkrieg' attacks I like to use. Rounding out the ships important to this strategy are Bonhomme Richard and Franklin, both equipped with Captains and helmsmen (allowing these ships to also move S+S+S).

President (2L(x4) thanks to Brent Rice, built in re-roll) and Julius Caesar (broadsides attack) sweep up whatever bits are left from the other ships' assault and a Favor of the Gods event negates mermaids.
