Here's the best I can some up with for a 50 point Viking fleet. The ships aren't that big, but it can fight and best of all, steal treasure from your opponent.
And that's the Fenrir's only job, is to go to the enemy HI and steal 2 treasure.
The Kaalit is like an escort, but it can run treasure, just leave the captain at home. It can also run and gun.
Hlidskjalf is pretty much designed to attack and escort.
The point is to maybe get some treasure, but what this fleet really can do is swoop in, attack, steal treasure from the enemy HI, then return home!
So what does everyon think of this fleet?

...why don't you only keep the fenrir, then put grim the savage on a 3 masted longship with great cannons, so that you can steal your opponent's HI and maybe engage his ships??? vikings means: kill your opponent's ships and raid his HI, there's no room for ships with awful cannons!!!!
ciao! fede
Interesting idea......but here's why I didn't opt for that initially.
First of all, the Viking Lonships lack ships with good cargo. You need 5 cargo to do things at least somewhat well.
Second, doing that would leave me only 2 ships.
Third, the most useful gun on a Viking Longship are the first guns. The second is decent of a 3 master, but the Back gun is kind of blocked mby the mainsail.
But now that i think of it, I could do your option, but I would have to use the Wodin. It would undermine its crew capturing ability of it, but it might work. I'll have to try it, after I try my first fleet here.
I like the idea behind this fleet. I love the Viking longships too. I definitely wanna make a viking fleet once I can get ahold of some good Viking crew. Like Ziotoo4 said, get a ship in there that can maybe engage the enemy, and raiding the HI will be like a final slap in the face. Good job though!
I am beginning to think that sending in the two 1 masters might be a bad idea. The problem is I may have to cut the fleet to 2 ships. Not a good proposition, but perhaps necessary.
Anyway, when it comes to bigger ships, here are some likely candidates:
Wodin (crew capturing ability is great!)
Hrunting (Put a Captain and Helmsman on it. LEss treasure from the HI but it could fight.
Huginn (Better Fighter)
Naegling (Better fighter, but I am unsure if I can fit it into my fleet.
Kalmar (After a Captain, Helmsman, and Grim, I could take 3 treasure! Though its a bit slow)
Loki (to replace the Fenrir since it would be 2 points cheaper.
Hmmm, what if I replaced the Fenrir with the Polaris that would have a captain and a helmsman?
I just wanted to let everyone know I have posted several 40 point Viking fleets in the armies section. Please take a look at these and let me know what you think.
The only thing that bothers me about this one is that your only defense ships are one masters. Seems a little light on defense. granted they attack decently, but man that's a lot riding on 2 masts.
