Miniature Trading

Extensive use of Captains and Helmsmen ensure that I get the first shoot action. Bonhomme Richard and Franklin can move 3S, and pack a powerful punch (get a load of Franklin’s special ability!) lending new meaning to the term 'highly mobile firepower'. Constitution is a beast in this setup, with long range 2's, crew invulnerability, and an extra action on a 5 or a 6.

Head right for the enemy’s most powerful ship and derelict it. Then take it back to your island in the same move with Philadelphia's special. Lay into the remaining ships with the firepot specialist, Constitution, Montezuma, and the remaining cannons / crew on BHR and Franklin.
Fall back if you take damage (not likely with Constitution's 10 hit points) and wait for the reinforcement of the ship you captured. One more assault should finish off almost any enemy fleet.

Be watchful for Mermaid attacks with so many crew and so few ships. Being without one of your heavies for 5 turns could cost you the game!
