Force "Brotherhood of Evil Mutants" - 600 Points (standard format) show extended format
created by milto

This is a swarm team for all those who say "Who plays swarm teams anymore?" the Brotherhood's wealth of low level guys makes their free moving TA really shine. The JLA tend to be too expensive. The Avengers are better off as Thunderbolts. Top Cow is awesome (best suited for the swarm in fact) but most people don't even know who they are, nor do they have access to the range of powers the Brotherhood represent.

This is 600 points. It is especially effective when using 150 point power levels rather than 100 points. Magneto's leadership brings an additional attack when needed. His TK sends the brawlers Victor Creed or Black King or drops one of the 2 Pulse Wavers next to the enemy Brick or the medic. His Running Shot and Impervious make him formidable and he stays in the back lines to great effect until they are softened up for his 4 damage. (What a villain!) Keep the medic close to him. Havok carries Cyclops into firing range. The Brawlers take most of the hits. Black King just gets better with each hit, and because of AutoRegen Creed just comes back if you don't finish him off. (4 clicks of Regen is a nice surprise). Just when your opponent thinks you've over extended yourself and perhaps you have, since you can move your whole team in one turn, the you drop a barrier and block line of sight from Outwitters and Trick Shotters alike. as they wait for the barrier to come down and pass up an action, the barrier drops Cyclops shoots for sure, any other attcks are used including Mag's Running Shot just don't let him up too far too soon. Then drop another barrier. There are 3 Barriers on the team so keeping up a steady stream and even adjusting positions for free are at your disposal. 2 prob controllers help make Victor's Blades count besides anyone else's attacks including the medic.

even if Black King and Victor buy it (KO) the resources used up on them should leave easy pickings for the rest of these Evil Mutants.

In a timed game you can easily lose high points ip front and get behind in the points race but don't be afraid to swarm. Give your opponent too many targets and he may spread his attacks out enough to keep your Mutant Brothers alive.

Mag's 11 attack and Black King's 12 attack hit a 20 defense without too much trouble with 2 PCers handy.

Black King may be the MVP of this team. Looking at him he doesn't like he's able to kick so much booty. After he takes 4 or 5 clicks and he lands on his 11 attack and 4 damage and 18 defense, the look on your opponent's face is priceless.

Victor Creed is a close second as he keeps a 10 attack with charge and BCF for his first 2 clicks so he likes to push when he's fresh, which makes him a real killer. Later his Stealth keeps him safe. He has no Battle Fury up front so Magneto can carry him while Black King runs up from behind pushing as he goes to get on his 12 attack with Exploit Weakness. He jsut begs to be hit, just like the real character

Havok can retrieve anyone Magneto sends out that gets into trouble or just ferry Cyclops into range for a Running Shot. 10 attack 4 damage is very useful on Cyclops. He has a short dial but with Victor and the Black King both breathing down your neck he tends to get overlooked.

Dominic, Avalanche and Pyro are a "barrierers" until they are needed to help the front line with Pulse Wave or RCE or Explosion. Magneto can push to send these guys out with the medic next to him he is in good shape.

Basically Havok and these guys serve as a support team for the heavy hitters and a back up fighting squad for Magneto when the heavy hitters are gone.

I have yet to run this team vs an Xmen team. I don't find too many theme team players around here. I may have to set one up on my own and get someone to play it or just play it out. I'll have to come up with a 600 point X team to face off with this one. I bet it would be a cool Comic book set up. I'm mixing storylines with ethUltimates but it would still look cool.

this team does well in an open space or in Close-Quarters. the Barriers are more effective against fliers like Shazam indoors.

the team lacks Perplex and Outwit but Barrier makes most powers useless which in effect negates all of them without outwitting any.
