This was a standard 40 point construction with treasure. We have a player who quite often uses the "sac captains". (and I was tired of losing to him , hence the Mermaids)

The game plan was to have the HMS Antelope scurry around and explore islands, the HMS Dover to get treasure and return to the Home Island, and the HMS Titan to provide fire cover and mop up if needed. Once the HMS Dover got home, the HMS Antelope just went to the next island where I built a fort. The second fort was "in case" I need to go to a third island to get the amount of gold needed to win.

I still lost to him (he had a REAL mean pirate fleet), but we played a "round robin" tourney (only 4 players total) and my only loss was to him. The other two games I won in four turns each.
