Fleet "Spanish Treasure Seekers" Help
Fleet "Spanish Treasure Seekers" - 45 Points (standard format) show extended format

This is a 40 point fleet with a 5 point bonus added by Contessa Anita Amore. It is based on the unique properties of El Puerto Blanco. Head for the nearest island with all 3 ships. Dock El San Jose first and explore. Next dock La Monarca and Asesino de la Nave. Load up La Monarca and head for home. Leave Asesino docked. When you get the treasure home, build El Puerto Blanco. Use Capitan Alarico Castro's extra action with Alm Pavon y Miranda's reroll to look at two treasures per island and El San Jose to swap out high value treasure from distant islands. After you have seen all of the treasures in the game, use the Asesino as your protection and to stop the game by eliminating the final treasure still at sea if necessary. With the move & shoot repeat action of the Asesino you have up to six short 2 cannon shots per turn and can even take on large ships of the line. The cargo killing capability is an extra bonus. The Unique treasures will also help run up the point total. I would put both Helmsman in play from the Abandoned Crew. In a 50 point fleet add La Rosario and 2 Helmsman.

Nice idea, but the Asenio seems a bit slow for today's fast fleets. It will get ambushed rather easilly and other smaller fast ships will out run it very easilly. Still a great ship, but you might want to think about getting a helmsman on it. Also, the Hidden Cove might come in real handy!

Yes, helmsman are the problem in the 40 point version of the fleet. That's why I put both Helmsmen from Abandoned crew into play. The Hidden Cove trick would also be extremely useful in this instance. Since I generally play in a 50 point venue, it isn't as much of a problem.
