Fleet "CaptainEd's Cursed Fleet" - 39 Points (standard format) show extended format
created by captained

Ok, here's the revised version of this fleet.

The Cursed really don't have any fast treasure runners with decent cargo space. So, to get around that, I've used Lord Mycron to give either treasure runner an extra action.

1-Sea Rat/Death's Anchor: this is the main treasure runner. It only moves L, but Lord Mycron can give it an extra action for an L+L move. Plus, it tows the Death's Anchor as protection against gunships.
2-Nightmare: an additional gold runner. It only has room for 2, but every little bit helps.
3-Loa's Justice: this ship stays at home and acts as a base of action for Lord Mycron. The Oarsman on board is British, to satisfy Lord Mycron's Loyal keyword, and as a sacrifice if your opponent boards the ship.

The plan is to use Lord Mycron to move the sea Monkey out to a Wild Island. L+L should get it there quickly, and once it's drained the island dry, it can head back.

The Nightmare can start out toward a second island. Because it is cheap, the Nightmare can also act as a "sacrificial goat" ship, and hopefully slow down an opponent's gunship for a turn or two. This should give the Sea Monkey time to get home.

And, you have 1pt left over for an Event or Equipment.

Problem: Crew layout on the HMS Patagonia doesn't work.

Black Mark and 0-point crews are not compatable. As soon as it becomes a cursed ship, Scott Bratley and Robinson are illegally assigned to a non-English ship and must be removed.

The rules for the challenge also said they were not allowed, with only one exception: they could be assigned to a Titan with the proper nationality.

The easiest way to get Lord Mycron on a Cursed ship would be Loa's Justice (along with an English Oarsman for the Loyal keyword), but I'm not sure you have enough points to fit that in.

Also, one other problem: if Samedi's Curse is towing Death's Anchor, then the Helmsman is dead weight. You don't get any bonus movement from crew when towing a flotilla.

Doh! One should not build a fleet before having coffee in the morning.

Let me rethink this fleet and I'll make some changes.

Better. However, you still need another English piece somewhere in the fleet to satisfy the Loyal keyword on Lord Mycron.
