Fleet "The Brits are coming!" - 45 Points (standard format) show extended format
created by adapter

This is my first real try at building a brit fleet. I kind of went with some crew i liked then took boats for them.

Ideas and suggestions are always welcome. Also i have no UT in this fleet since i am not sure if i should use possitive or negitive UT with only 1 gold runner.

I really like your fleet. I think the HMS Hound may be the best English treasure runner in the game.

I find it kind of tough to choose which UTs to use when I run a versatile fleet like this one. You don't want to use many crew killers for fear of taking out your own, nor do you want to provide your opponents treasure runners with any defensive UTs against your gunships. Maybe Sextant since it is useful to whatever gets it, but doesn't provide a huge advantage. Or you could go with UT eliminators like Pirata Codex, so you don't have to worry about your opponents UTs.

I find that participating in the weekly fleet challenges here on Miniature Trading has really helped hone my fleet building skills. Check out this week's challenge to see if you'd like to join in:

Very solid, straight-forward fleet, if a bit bland. I like the Dover, though... pretty versatile ship for only 10 points. Here, you've got the firepower of a 5-masted gunship, but she moves S+S+S and has enough cargo space to clean out an island.

You could consider trading in Trevor Van Tyne for a bit sexier gunship. One of the RotF HMS Apollos is a good Pirate-killer. For 15 points, the HMS Grand Temple is a pretty solid chunk of whoopass.

As-is, though... a very competitive fleet.
