Note: as darrin pointed out, the red part is not correct. So, if i have time, i'll fix this fleet. Until then, this is the official challenge fleet by ziotoo4
Hi all!
Seeing the rules of this challenge, i understand that both a doctor, or an immunity crew must be included, as well as a musketeer or a marine.
If i wanted to go with a powerful fleet, i would have left the musketeer and the doctor sitting at my HI, and i would have made a great fleet with the remaining 32+5 points.
But that's not my "ethical codex"! If i have to include something, let's do that well!
First, i thought "how could i productively use a doctor?" The only way you can lose crew is: -with equipment or nasty killing abilities, or - with boarding.
But why should my opponent target me with a boarding action? And what do i gain with those 5 point doctors? I need better conditions to use them. And so, i created by myself the productive conditions: If i win a boarding party, i will remove all crew! Nice!
Then i thought: "but what's the point, if i eliminate all crew and then remain sitting in the water long enough to let the enemy gunship blow my ship out of the water?"
The answer was: "submarine"! My sub, Locker, has exaxtly the ability i was looking for! And, to counter any enemy doctor, i decided to add a canceller, too.
But i was running out of cargos, and i reached the point limit. So, when i left the gunship with no crew, i needed something to sink her! But i only had 18 points left...i had many options, but i had to include a musketeer, and so i decided to use another submarine...Devil Ray moves L+S and has a firepot specialist onboard. And, thanks to a weird ruling and to the musketeer, it can shoot when submerged! It's only 1 shot, but if you hit, you will light a fire on the enemy ship!
Lastly, jolly mon provided the + 5 bonus.
This fleet is quite weak, but i wanted to create something good using productively doctors and musketeers, so this was the best i could think of.
Let me know what you think!
ciao! Fede
