For my first posted fleet, I thought I might try my hand at exploiting the new oarsman rules, too. I couldn't squeeze in decent combos for the Dreadnought or L'Hercule in a 40 point format, but then I came upon the RotF Lady's Scorn. She's Eternal with a built in reroller and an excellent link to Calico Cat. This makes available extra actions, so she can run home and repair quickly if your opponent refuses to sink her. Throw in CC Jack Hawkins for more extra actions and the "ghost crew" ability and Gaspar Zuan to fit everything needed under the Lady's point limit.

The other key to success with this fleet is to get either Davy Jones' Heart or Holy Water on to the Lady's Scorn to protect her from cancellers. Then she becomes immortal. To accomplish that you have two speedy treasure runners in Banshee's Cry and Le Pique whose 1st goal is to find one of these UTs and get it to Lady's Scorn asap. Then they can treasure hall while the Lady's Scorn, with OE Calico Cat, wreaks havoc with your opponent with 2 point equivalent cannons and chances for 2 extra actions each turn with a reroll to improve the odds.

I threw in Weapons to make the Lady's Scorn an even more fearsome rammer and boarder. Favor of the Gods is a must to protect against Mermaids, of course.

Nice start,my friend! Have you thought about adding a +5 ransom crew (search vicomte Jules de Cissey in database)aboard Jolly Mon to add mermaids and Divers? ciao! Fede
