First of all, this is a Pirates fleet, not an A&A army.
Anyway, I know that more than a couple of you laughed at Santana. You know who you are!
Nah, just kidding.
But really, onto the fleet:
With Santana, El Neptuno can hit at L+L range with 50% accuracy. It gets even better when you consider the fact the fact that not only can it get an SAT, for 10 shots at L+L range, and also, because of the Chain Shot, if I hit, then it means that the opponent's ship can't move! And if the opponent's ship can't move the next turn, then it means that I can keep bombarding my opponent's ship! This is especially deadly against the 10 mast ships, which can't maneuver very well.
Oh, and in typical fashion, I made sure that the El Neptuno, if I get my SAT and fire at L+L range, it has a move and fire range of S+S+S+S+S+S+L+L! Plus, if there's no enemy gunships in sight, then the Chain Shot is absolutely devastating against Treasure Runners.
Which is the Cristobal moving twice. I think that, thanks to F&S, the Neptuno has become the secondary Spanish gunship. Which is great, because it's 12 points.
Now, you're probably wondering what the Rosario is there for. The Rosario is there to transport Santana, and also to provide some covering fire. Essentially, El Neptuno is the 'artillery', and the Rosario is the 'spotter'. Although she only has 1 mast, I have it towing the Diablo, so I have a max firing range of S+S+S+S+S. Which is really good.
And if the Rosario gets into a sticky situation, then Santana can grant the Diablo all rank 1 and 2 guns!
Also, I came up with this strategy:
El Neptuno and the Rosario are within L of eachother, but La Rosario is behind of it. El Neptuno fires its guns, and hopefully hits with the Chain shot.
The next turn, with the gunship not being able to move, I have Santana grant the Diablo all rank 1 and 2 guns, and the Rosario moves forward, and the Diablo rakes the enemy ship!
Not the greatest strategy, but still.
I obviously have FotG, and Divers is there to provide some gold-making for me.
