Fleet "Bermuda triangle remix" - 75 Points (standard format) show extended format
created by ziotoo4 Premium Member

Hi all! All the credit of this fleet is reserved to Phimatine: instead of posting the fleet in the comments i actually answer to your bermuda triangle fleet using another fleet. 70 points!

Here is how i would modify the fleet to be able to win!

As usually, in the setup place as many Reefs and Sargasso Seas as you can!
With multiple L dragging, you'll be able to push enemy ships everywer you can. This fleet isn't reccomended for multiplayer games!

First, the american dragger: Phima used an USS Annapolis, with Wayne Nolan and Le Beaux as a dragger. It was a ship costing only 6 points, but Nolan was limit, and removed the possibility of a +5 crew. That is, i chose a ship with the reroller ability that cost 11 points, reduced by 5 from the + 5 crew, it's the same total as Annapolis with 3 masters more...The kentucky is also a ship good to sink enemy ships who wanted to ram your littler ships or to shoot any enemy ship wich is dragged within L range.

Screaming Mimi is carried on the Fiddler's green, wich provides a cool reroll.

And, for our last dragger, we have the French crew Desailly, carried on a mediocre ship but that thanks to Arii Auraa becomes a perfect container.

So, 3 draggers with reroll, what else can we add?
Unique Treasures: Bad Maps, move the ship who finds this treasure 2L away!
Events: Mermaids, to cripple a gunship long enough to drag her to a fort or to your gunship!
Foul Winds, a sure L move away!
Favor of the Gods...there are few events that can cripple this fleet, but let's be sure nothing bad can happen!
Divers: let's get all gold from a sank enemy ship!

So, now that we move the Enemy fleet, how can we sink his/her ships? A good catch would be a multiple action gunship But why should we drag a ship for miles when we can simply drag her to the nearest fort??? Yes, you got it, forts! A Banshee's cry is here to bring enough gold home, along with Hidden Cove: Those two things can easily help you getting started building forts. Also, there's a Tiger's eye that is useful because she can build any fort, since BC don't have a fort that belongs only to their nation.

Your forts are....
Dead Man's Point (pirate)
Fortaleza Dorada (spain)
Paradis de la Mer (france)
Ramsgate (england)
Devil's Maw (pirates)
Only Tiger's eye can build all these forts, but her defensive ability will prevent being sank, and two of these fort can be built by Bashee's Cry and one from Mermaid. The draggers will help dragging away enemy ships from your useful runners! Ramsgate has a cool 2L Long cannon that can beging destroying a dragged ship. Fortaleza Dorada and Paradis de la Mer are great in defense. Dead's man point is good to eliminate nasty crew and Devil's Maw will make sure that you can't lose your crew!

SO: Banshee's and Tiger's Eye bring home gold and then with Mermaid go building forts. Drag enemy ships to your forts and on bad terrains. Dragging them at your HI is also good, because you have a gunship there. You've won! ;-)

ciao! Fede

Wow, what a great concept! (What else can I say? ) I originally had Screaming Mimi in my Bermuda Triangle, but she was taken out for expense. (Looks like she'd be put back in...I went a point over!) It is nice to see the fleet in a more filled out form, I tried to limit it to a standard game, but it really does work better in this setup. The only thing I wouldn't add to this fleet that you have in there is Banshee's Cry, but that's because I don't play that ship. I like seeing the Tiger's Eye used in the fleet, good choice of treasure runner. Unfortunately with forts, you are limited to only Pirate, American, and French forts due to your initial build. They way forts work (as I understand it) is that you can build any fort that has a corresponding nationality to any of the ships you start with, but if none of your starting ships are of a nationality with forts you can build any of them. Any of your ships could build any fort available given your starting fleet, but the Tiger's Eye could build only forts allowed by your starting fleet (American, Pirate, and French) even though the Barbary Corsairs have no forts of their own.
