Fleet "Davy Jones demostration fleet" Help
Fleet "Davy Jones demostration fleet" - 40 Points (standard format) show extended format
created by ziotoo4 Premium Member

The last of the 3 fleets created to do some demostrations in your venue! Bring in some cool ships and a couple of fleets to drag new peoples and new potential hard players. This will cause a grow in the number of players at your venue, wich means more trades and interesting strategies. All three demo fleets introduce different strategies, so that each player will play in a different way from the other one. This will be one of the most wanted fleets, thanks to the addition of the kraken!

for 40 points, this fleet introduces Beastie as well as a ship carrying Davy Jones: it's the mighty Flying Dutchman (promo version) There's a captain as well, so this fleet is the most powerful f the 3 demo fleet.

This fleet is for more experienced players (i.e. newbies that play for the 3rd-5th time). Still, i reccomend introducing new ships from past sets after some games, to show the variety of "pirates"!!!

With this fleet, wich brings cool ship from Jack Sparrow's motion picture, you'll bring in new players, or, at least, give some fun to other people.

ciao! fede

p.s. from the next fleet, i will keep on posting fleets for veterans: i'm tired of doing newbies fleet!!! But i had to help the game somehow...with these fleets, new players are guaranteed!

Ok, definitely a more advanced fleet. The promo Dutchman is a great choice, some shops still have stacks of those things lying around, and it's a great ship for beginners since any random crew they start out with can be used, regardless of which faction they come from.

You say this is the strongest fleet, but I'd say it's one of the weakest... this is a good fleet to teach more intermediate players that "Sea Creatures Stink". Although those big monsters look fantastic, this is a really easy fleet to beat. It's slow, the kraken is overpriced and hard to use (even with Captain Davy Jones), and the lack of treasure runners means even if you do sink something, you're still going to lose. It might be a fun fleet to play, but not a very effective one.

Hi Darrin! Sorry for my bad english, with strong i meant strong in combact, not strong in general. This fleet has a total of 13 masts against 6 masts (pirates) or 8 masts (english). Still, the most powerful fleet is the pirate one, due to teasure runner Hai Peng

The biggest lesson I'd try to teach new players with this fleet is that the sea monsters are expensive, difficult to use, and not as effective as some of the cheaper ships.

Although that's more of a "How to Win" approach than a "How to Have Fun" approach, because even though sea monsters are overpriced, they are definitely fun.
