Hi all! As we are seeing, Pirates is getting a drop in sales...could that mean the end of the game? yes. So, what can we do to stop that??? Do some demostrations in your venue! Bring in some cool ships and a couple of fleets to drag new peoples and new potential hard players. This will cause a grow in the number of players at your venue, wich means more trades and interesting strategies.

This is the demonstration fleet of East India Corporation. Should be coupled with Pirate demo fleet and Davy Jones demo fleet.

For 40 points the player gets a gunship and a treasure ship.No difficult abiities and tactics, only playability. Still, this fleet is fun to play for newbies. I didn't put extra action crew on the endeavour because the 3 fleets had to be balanced.

This fleet isn't surely a fleet for veterans, it's just to be used with newbies, wich will immediately understand the game. If they ask for a second game, throw away this fleet and bring in some interesting ships from other sets (submarines, longships, galleys...are cool!)

With this fleet, wich brings cool ship from Jack Sparrow's motion picture, you'll bring in new players, or, at least, give some fun to other people.

I thought you said you didn't do any DPotC pieces?

Hmm. I should have noticed it before, but the English kind of got shafted on the basic crew in DPotC, didn't they? I was going to say, if you wanted to draw people in based on the movie, use the named characters, but... no, not going to happen.

Looks like a good intro fleet. Not sure if I'd want to use a rare, but the Endeavor does a nice job of characterizing the English as a faction: Big guns, lots of shooting.

Hi darrin! You're right, i hate DpOTC, but i had to use them: someone who is new will probably be attracted from Jack Sparrow instead of Jack Hawkins. these lfeet re made to be used in big conventions, where you have to catch the attenction of customers in a brief time. As for he named crew, they were expensive and difficult to use, so i thought that Endeavour was enough.
I don't car a bout england getting few PoTC named crew, i will never use a crew with no pinted artwork!

Is it just me, or is the EIC fleet going to beat both the Davy Jones fleet and the Pirate fleet?
You may want to make sure these are all balanced vs. one another.
Perhaps the Dauntless would be a better pick for a 5 mast ship? Then you could remove the cannoneer for Norrington.
Might be more recognizable.
