Ted Sallis (LE)
Not worth the plastic its made of.

General description:
At my first tournament close to one year ago, I had brought the few figs I had to trade with me and traded my SR Spiderman from avengers for Abomination and Ted Sallis. I didnt really like Spiderman as a character and I thought Abom and Sallis looked cool so It seemed good at the time. Painful, I know. After playing with Sallis a few times trying to make him ok I have realized one thing. Ted. Sallis. Is. Terrible.

Uses:
This character has no obvious uses, and when you look more closely he still has no uses. his movement never goes above 6 and this prevents him from ever seeing combat. He also cant be carried so the lack of mobility completely limits him. Also his attack never goes above an 8 so hes not likely to be succesfully attacking anyone either.

Strategies and game play:
I really cannot think of a worse figure to put on your team. Even within his Keywords (defenders, scientist) there are much better figures for way less points.

Combos with other miniatures:
there really arent combos with Ted Sallis. His battle fury means he doesnt play well with others, and even with perplex he is still way behind the curve.

Ways to counteract it:
Ted Sallis counteracts himself.

Strengths/Pros:
He has high damage. Sometimes.
He has charge. For 3.
He has impervious.

Weaknesses/Cons:
His movement never goes above 6
His attack never goes above an 8
His defense never goes above a 13
He costs far more than he should at 91 points
His dial is only 6 clicks deep.

Artwork and aesthetics:
He does look kind of cool, though not all that much like the comics.

Overall rating:
I give this a reluctant 2.0 since he does have a cool sculpt, but as far as playability is concerned he is a 1.0

Maybe with the short movement and impervious he might be excellent in a smaller point game. Perhaps a 200 point game on a 10x10 map. Those are fun if you haven't tried them.
