Well, here I am!! I am normally a Star Wars TCG player and reviewer, but this game has always attracted me, so I'm gonna write a review on the big-time striker bad boy. The Boga is probably, if used correctly, the strongest striker piece in the Star Wars series of Attacktix.
I like to use this piece as a hold-out piece because it is SO hard to kill. I use some small launcher figures, and a medium launcher or two, to go with it. They lead the attack and the Boga follows to pick up the pieces. I also like to use the Boga against large groupings of figures, maybe 5 or 6 figures grouped together, that need to be broken up and then use my smaller figures to help finish them off.
I love the positioning of the buttons on the Boga. They make him practically impossible to kill from a distance. Think of the possibilities there. There are so many I could never explain them all, but I stated most of my favorite strategies in the previous paragraph. Another is to bascically charge the Boga, send in some medium strikers after him and give the launchers the clean-up work.
Did I hear someone say Wookiees??? I LOVE to use Wookiees, but this piece is an AWESOME one to use with them. It also goes good with Medic Droid (what piece doesn't?) and R2-D2 (allowing for extra attacks)
I would say the biggest dangers to the Boga are, perhaps, good, fast strikers that can come in on suicide missions and wipe out the Boga, or perhaps flying pieces that can get another angle such as Boba or Jango Fett, or perhaps Republic Gunship.
I'll tell you this. If you want a fast striker that won't be killed easily this is your piece. This piece can go out and knock out major enemy points and return in reasonable health.
Beware of it's expense. Don't go using it in 100-point games where that'll be practically the only piece you have. Also watch out for the flyers and strikers.
I like the depiction of Obi-Wan sitting on top. It adds another dimension to the overall FEROCITY of the Boga.
I'd rate this piece a 10 because I think it's worth every point you put in it. Use it in an army someday, you'll see what I mean.
