USS Lamon
That's Lamon not Lemon

General description:

The USS Lamon is a really nice sub, not because of its ability (besides its sub ability) but because it can do what few other subs can do....it can dock at its home Island. Its a big advantage when you consider now you can repair and deliver gold, all while submerged most of the way!

Uses:

This sub works well as either an attacker, period. The cargo space is too small to run treasure. Just put a helmsman on, some boarding crew, and charge the enemy.

Strategies and game play:

The best thing to do with this vessel is to load up on boarding bonuses and attack enemy ships. After you ram, board it and kill some crew, or if you can, take some treasure.

Combos with other miniatures:

First of all it needs a helmsman on it. Captain Montana Mays can be a plus as well, since he is linked and takes up no cargo. He can give you an extra action, and a +1 to boarding rolls! And if you can, throw in Wayne Nolan for a reroll.

Another idea, throw on Hacksaw Riley instead of Mays to make you immune if a boarding roll goes bad. Wayne Nolan will still be useful here too.

Ways to counteract it:

Standard anti-sub tactics, either outfit or have a ship that can attack submerged subs, or have ships immune to ramming. Although immunity to ramming may be a lesser choice due to the fact you can still be baorded.

Strengths/Pros:

Decent Cannons
Can Board while Submerged
S+S base movement

Weaknesses/Cons:

Lack of hull pieces hurts baording
2 cargo is not enough

Artwork and aesthetics:

It looks like a small steel behemoth. It looks very nice.

Overall rating:

I give it a 8 out of 10. It can dock at your HI, can baord underwater, and it has the ability to get some killer crew combos!

in your reveiw, you said it had a L base move, but it actually has a S+S base move. I know, I have that ship already.
