Uses:
She's the captain of your main gunship. No doubt about that!
Strategies and game play:
Adding a +1 to your guns, this nice girl can improve the fire ratio from 33% to 83% on a five mast.
I would use her where I have most cannons.
Combos with other miniatures:
Use her on a good five master, with the chance of an extra action. HMS Titan is my favourite. With Sir Christopher Myngs (and a bit of luck) you can shoot 15 cannons with an accuracy of 1250%!!! Enough to bring down the Baochuan and a couple of 1-mast runners in a single turn!!
She costs 7 points, right. Why not use her cost (to say nothing of her anger) for a Duel with an annoying enemy crew? Without taking any risk she can wipe off any Limit-Ransom crew (for a nice extra gold), an oarsman, a helmsman, a specialist shooter, and every other crew under 2 points. You could block a SAC captain, or throw someone overboard killing First Mate Ismail (or an equivalent)... Just let her hit where it hurts!

I don’t know if they do this for game balance, but you never see the right crew linked to the right ship! This is no exception, but let’s see better...
She's linked to a Schooner, HMS Zephyr: 15 points, move L, cargo 4, cannons 3S-4L-3S-3S, Reverse-captain ability. Is it worth? With Hermione we get better cannons (but nothing exceptional for an English ship) and Captain ability, all this for 22 points. Adding the necessary Helmsman and Extra-action crew like Admiral Morgan (in order to combine Captain and Reverse-captain abilities we need two actions) we reach 29 points, while if we wanted the same combo, we could have got USS Stephens (fully manned, better cannons and higher chance to get the 2nd action) for exactly the same price (see my other review). In short, unless you are a link addicted, I would avoid this...
Ways to counteract it:
Cancel her ability, or better, kill her. But I'd rather stay far, far away from any ship she sails...

Artwork and aesthetics:
She's not as glamorous as Calico Cat, or Madame LaFontaine, but I love her Tom-boy look, not to mention the hate in her eyes...

10/10 Best crew I could think of.
