General description:
Naked Leia (as she has been commonly know to my group of friends) is a very intresting mini.
At first look you might think that she is the worst piece in the game. I thought the same thing, but she might not be as bad as we think.
Her stats are not that bad. When compared to the senator version also from Rebel Storm her stats are like this...
She has the same Attack, Damage and Cost. Her defence is -2 (must be hard to move in the metel bikini). She has 20 more hit points and one more force point. She also is the only Melee Leia in the game, and the only Leia follower.
Uses:
When compared to the other Leia minis you would think that you would never use her because of her melee, but if you put her in a New Republic squad with the twins, she can actually be a really nice piece.
Strategies and game play:
Like I said the best way to use her is in a New Republic Squad with her kids. Bring her out and don't be affraid to let her get hurt. If she is injured she gives Jacen +20 Damage. If Jaina is there too, Jacen is attacking at +16 for 40 damage. This Leia also can attack smaller characters, and has the most amount of HP (tied with Rebel Hero).
Once Leia bites it (which she eventully will) Jacen will be able to use his "Unleash the Force" force power which will give 30 or 60 (depending on a save) damage to all characters 6 squares away. What alot of people don't realize is that UTF does not have to be done as soon as a character dies, it can be done at anytime after a character dies.
Alot of people willl take a smaller jedi and pretty much get them killed on purpose so Jaces can use this Force. Well the cheapest Jedi to sacrifice in the NR Faction in the Young Jedi, and she is 8 points more expnsive, which could be the difference between using Corran Horn and Kyle Katan. So she is not as usless as you would think.
Combos with other miniatures:
Like I said before, I would only run her with Jacen. I am sure Jacen does not want to see his mom in the hot bikini, but he is going to have to get over it. Throw in Jaina too to make Jacen (and herself) better. Leia is a follower so feel free to throw in a commander to boost her. Han Rebel Hero gives her AA (which if you are throwing her out there she gets +10 against someone who has not activated). Depending on what size squad you are use you can use her, Han RH, and Talon and get her the iniative to pull of the AA attack.
Ways to counteract it:
If someone is using the Solo family then the easy thing to do is leave her alone until after Jacen is dead. He is a pretty weak character too, and he should be defeated pretty eaisly.
If someone is just running Leia, just kill her.
Strengths/Pros:
Being the Leia with the most hit points means that she will last an attack or two longer then most Leias. She has 2 force points, so you might be able to reroll a bad roll twice. She is also not a commander, so she can use Commander Affects. She is also a pretty cheap figure.
Weaknesses/Cons:
Well she is Melee which is always bad. She is also a VR which makes her harder to get. She was also a quite expensive figure. When I first started buying Minis she was going for around $20. I am sure you can pick her up alot cheaper now.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is pretty sweet. By far the coolest looking Leia figure. It is what dreams are made of.
