(?-?) Moody supposedly sailed a ship under Black Bart before heading out on his own. Though little is known about Moody himself, his flag speaks volumes. On a background of blood red, a flying hourglass means life is short, a sword conveys Moody's fighting power, and a skull portends death, which was an apt warning indeed: Moody's "no quarter" policy meant death for all prisoners. He met his end by hanging at Cape Coast Castle in Cabo Corso, Ghana.
