Due to childhood sickness, Blackfire cannot fly like her sister Starfire. Thanks to experimental surgery, she can store and fire powerful solar energy bolts. Blackfire has repeatedly attempted to take over her homeworld of Tamaran but her attempts have been thwarted by Starfire and the Teen Titans.
