What can you say about ships like these? At least it has its keyword. so many ship types (galleys obviously by looking at them) aren't even given that. Decent cannons and a good cost are the best aspects going for this little guy. Well done

I imagine that few Commodores actually run full faction pure BC fleets - they are just too expensive. This is an honest objective review - the JB is good in the BC genre, but can be bettered points-wise by a great many ships. With all the edits and corrections, a very solid review.

I've always liked the looks of the galleys Points- cost wise, there are more expensive ships that can't do as much. I'm tempted to play her in a fleet just to make the fleet prettier. Welcome, Commodore, to the game. AAARRRR

Isn't International talk like a pirate day coming up soon?

Good job Wishing we had a chance to obtain the Orphan - a solid strategy that would only be vulnerable to extra cheesy fleets.

I love that ships like this with low cargo were instantly boosted when the Hermione Gold with both the Captain and Helmsman keywords was released (although I think I am totally confused on which came first LOL) Anyways, excellent review of a solid ship. Cheers!

Well-said Sir. Gaining gold AND hindering your enemy in one action is sweet indeed.

You make solid arguments in defense of this ship, its biggest drawbacks are cargo space and cost essentially. Cannons and move are above par, but the ability was just murdered when the Captain-Reverse Captain back-to-back actions were disallowed - before that, it was worth it. Now, generally speaking, that ability is worth maybe 2-3 points in a faction that has adequate 'extra action' provider crew, given that the ship in question has enough cargo space for all those needed, expensive crew (if that sort of ship actually exists, it would be Pirate faction almost certainly). Still, a 5-masted with guns like that ain't half bad. Cheers!

The fact that a cursed ship has speed greater than S AND doesn't cost an arm/leg gives this ship at least a 5/10. The ability has usefulness so that should count for something. Welcome to MT and Good Job!!

These ships with unique abilities are great for a change-of-pace type game; a departure from shoot and/or grab games. Another drawback to the ability, though, is that if your opponent doesn't use high value crew, there's not much value to grab. Good Job!

The biggest problem I have with this creature is that no 2 people pronounce the name the same Good, concise review. Maybe consider offering a variety of combos possible with the creature - for instance, did you use it in a game with good results? What other ships supported it? Overall, well done

Since it has fear and is less than 20 points, this is a rare creature. And it is SO much fun to yell out "Slarg Gubbit is coming for you!!!"

Fast ships with excellent cannons can come in handy any time - everyone likes to use all the obviously excellent one mast ships in the game but these little gems can by quite handy. For 5 points, you get quite a lot.

No doubt this is a beast of a ship! Actually, 17 pts isn't bad for a broadsides 5 mast-er. Cursed ships always are more expensive anyway. The Divine Dragon comes close but it only has 1 more mast and less effective guns, even after the ability applies. Having all L range guns can be a drawback an enemy can manipulate too.

There must be a story in there somewhere - French Aristocrat cruising around with a ship loaded with treasure . . . .

I don't know if I ever took this ship seriously but, given the cargo space on her, why not include her in a fleet hauling around a bunch of treasure? Sounds interesting . . . .

I have used this ship in a game with Fiore. It is costly but acquitted itself very well. Remember a merc ship cant dock to bring home gold but can ferry gold just as good as any ship.
