Nice tank for us Canuks, but, unfortunately after the Dieppe fiasco in fall 1942, only available for training until spring 43 when replaced by Sherman's for the Sicily / Italy invasions.

As a destroyer it is better then average, it needs to be compared against other destroyers to determine its true value. Good review

100 Point New Italian Fleet Axis & Allies In the discussion on the Army "100 Point New Italian Fleet" by captain_arrr United States

That aircraft carrier can only hold 2 planes so you would have to have one land based. Agreeing with wizard, the Pegaso is pretty easy to kill. I would put in a submarine like the Leonardo da Vinci so you have a better ship to fend off other submarines. That would also give you another point plus if you change one of the 2001 CBs to help get a few better destroyers or aircraft

200 pt British carrier fleet Axis & Allies In the discussion on the Army "200 pt British carrier fleet" by taylork United States

Hello: Yes that would be a excellent task force had it been in the "Med". However since you are basing the Corsairs on the Victorious. You are looking at a 1944 or 1945 time frame, Thus the Eagle was already sunk in Aug 1942 so it could not take part in your scenario except as a "What if" String bags(the Swordfish) fared worse than the Vindicators and Devastators against the Japanese. Also you should base F4F's on the Victorious in late 1942- late 1943. The British version was called the Martlet. And I believe they are in the game.

As I said in the Med... it would have been a formidable task force against the Italians. While I have played the game...I've found that the Barracudas (UK) fair better than the swordfish when going against the Japanese. Try using a Barracuda in stead of the swordfish.

I sure do love the Japanese torpedoes !!! If this build were US, I think it would not fair as well as this one. I wonder what would happen if a these guys fought a mirror image of a US force... Japanese victory !!!

USS Iowa (BB 61) Axis & Allies In the discussion on the Miniature Review for "USS Iowa (BB 61)" by lonestranger United States

Avatar for marinebb
Well done, you definitely described Iowa. Bristling with guns (literally ) and near impossible to get in close to, unless you're a torpedo bomber or a sub. I also like that you described the actual miniature, and I have to say you're fairly spot-on with that part. All in all, good job!

HMCS Uganda Axis & Allies In the discussion on the Miniature Review for "HMCS Uganda" by lt_v Canada

Avatar for marinebb
Well, your review is good, no doubt there. But after reading it, I thought that an overall 7.5/10 for the Uganda was a fairly high rating, given its rather lacklustre stats/SAs. It's too bad this ship isn't better (Canada NEEDS heavier warships ) ....but good work on the review!

USS Atlanta (CL 51) Axis & Allies In the discussion on the Miniature Review for "USS Atlanta (CL 51)" by lonestranger United States

Avatar for marinebb
Well now, this is a fairly well-written review about the Atlanta. I like that you indicated that while it IS a cruiser, it is specifically for AA and anti-destroyer duties, and NOT for gunning down other cruisers Also, good call for indicating its potential as a battleship/carrier escort. Good job!

I liked this review, it pretty much described Yamato. Amazing ship, solid stats combined with good SAs, although it's AA is indeed slightly weak for a ship of its caliber. Good one about the "fear factor" btw

Hi,

As a general rule you should try builds in mutiples of 50 pts as they are standard. You can play 109 pts and that is part of the fun of the game

This is not a fleet, it's a list of BBs. You should try to pick a theme and build a 100pt or 200 pt fleet around that theme

Hi,

Each build suits the player but you are wasting the value of your Carrier as the George is land based so you are wasting a slot on Junyo, maybe you could swap it out for the Elite Zeke or another carrier fighter
