Hello!

You are basically never going to see the Obago Duece. I suppose someone in the organization might remember that this ship exists, and might print it for the original purpose (as another Obago give away ship at the retail level) but if I were to be honest with you all (and I always am) the chances of this happening is slim to none.

I have one. I might actually be the only one in the office that has one. I stole it from Rollie and then hid it from Grizzled Veteran Game Designer Mike Mulvihill. I found a very safe place for it at my desk where it was not bothered until I recently packed up my desk, and took it with me. Let's just call it my parting gift for 5 years of service. It's like a gold watch, only better.

Congrats, you wiley rascal!

You are truly a premier collector! We bow in awe!

I guess it's only fair that the Europeans have the easier time getting the odd Promos and LE's these days, since it was so hard for them for years.

I think when Tiffany said "you" she was referring to the general player base, not the handful of psycopathic collectors out there that refuse to take "it doesn't exist" for an answer... Very Happy

My to-do list:

Find the 4 pre-released cards, we only know a picture of!

Is the Ochobrazo a phantom card?

Are there any RtSS cards around?

Ochobrazo was in the original list of six mega cards intended for the full-sized Savage Shores set. When the set was split in half, "the Ocho" got replaced with the Spanish turbine and a sea dragon* got replaced with the French windcather. My guess is the intent was to give each nation a "ship" rather than throw anything too exotic into the mix - plus, the assembled creatures would have required a completely different box design to make them fit correctly.

The second half (RSS) had six new mega cards designed later, but there was no sign of Ochobrazo. I know it's frustrating to know the name of a card that was ultimately never made, but it's probably for the best - had it finally arrived there would have been an outcry of disappointment. Its stats were... not so good. On more than one occassion I suggested dropping its cost to the low 20's (instead of the listed 27), but that would have made it only barely playable in high-point games.

*The non-existent sea dragon's name will not be revealed. I don't want to make old_man cry... Crying or Very sad

Unless some advanced pre-production cards were printed it's unlikely if any physical versions exist. I assume that Topps knew about the shutdown far enough ahead of time that they didn't allow the full print run to start.

Well, it can't hurt to share the rest of the Ocho's stats, since we have some of the info already...

and of course, it can't hurt to tell us the other 'unreleased' name...

consider how we know the names of the Adventure book stuff, which will likely never see daylight... what's the harm?

Please....

This will allow us to imagine another day when our game and spirit lives on....

Let the Monster name out of the bag....
maybe it will be the first name of the first monster if another comapny picks up or morphs this product line.....

The future is always uncertain....and Hope is always a good thing.

I don't think woelf can release that info with Pirates still up in the air. But he has promised to list what was going to be in RSS if there is no possible way the set will be released.

Although I have to add my plea to see what the Ocho was supposed to be. I hope Woelf will indulge us. LOL
