dude, that would be hilarious...I really am thinking of making up posters for our venue to see if it can attract any new players...plus it'll give me an excuse to do some more graphic design...fun with Photoshop!

...maybe we should have a contest on this very board...poster design contest...maybe...might get expensive if we had to print them out...hmm...

maybe put busniess card looking things in them that have the site's address...with a writing on it like the old promo cards used to have: "If you think this is cool then go to miniaturetrading.com for more!" or something along those lines...and use the Windlass font...ahahahahaha...that might be a good idea...hmm...

Anyone in the San Diego Area, there are 7 (as of two days ago) OE boxes at the Grossmont Target. 4 last hopes and 3 japes.

Saw a few at two of the local Targets today...no idea which, I caught them out of the corner of my eye...didn't buy any as I wasn't looking for Pirate cards today...maybe tomorrow on the way down to the game...oh, and at least one of them also had mega-packs...if anyone cares...Warren and Madison Heights stores.

I have used up all my Pirates pack picking ju-ju.

I went into Target today and picked up 5 of the special edition boxes.

Of the five boxes...

Three had the Divine Dragon it it. yes.. THREE.

One box had Brachyura, and Squallo.

THe last box had nothing of value in it.

What the heck am I going to do with three Divine Dragons? Anyone need a divine dragon cheap?

Yeah, the OE Megapacks have also now popped up here at Targets bigtime, boxes of them for cheap.

Checked my LGS yesterday, their "Big Box" is now full of PofBC packs. There was a handful of RotF, a couple PatOE, and 1 PofFN(which I immediately bought - that's my rule - always buy the last one). Beside it, they had a raft of megapacks, but they want $12 for them, which is just outrageous - five bucks for a normal pack is bad enough!

Good rule! Twice I've had really good luck doing that - once it was the SCS SR pack, another time it was the RotF SR pack. Even when it doesn't have the SRs, there's usually some nice rare piece in it.

It almost makes you feel bad for whoever bought the second last pack... almost.

That's unfortunate. They must be playing the "It's out of print so let's jack up the price." angle, rather than lowering the price to clear out excess inventory.

El Hambre! How did you guess? The second ship was also a pretty good one for a common, the Naegling - quite possibly the most deadly longship of all, with three L-range 2's(x2) and the ability to add a cannon bonus for previous shots.

Yeah, well I'm thinking they'll be playing the "What in tarnation are we going to do with all these gamepacks?" card - sooner than later - especially if they're going to rely on PofBC and PatOE for generating sales around here! I might fish for the odd SR set now and again, but I can't see them selling too many of them, even at cut-rate prices.

Our Target also put out a bunch of AOE. I got 3 value boxes and 4 or 5 mega packs. I was trying for a Divine Dragon but no such luck.
I did get another Grand Temple though. And lots of repeats of ones I already have.

Oh to 'diggitydug', I am very interested in one of your Divine Dragons. Perhaps we can work out a trade.

Got the last BC around here. It had Jordan Dumas, Admiral Alarico Castro, Whisper, Dervish, and Maps of Alexandria, all in one pack

nice...Dumas is a great one to have....plus the Maps...can't beat that...

I used my USS Seattle last weekend with: Ruth Lee, Wayne Nolan, Oarsman, F&S Mays, RotF Gus Schultz, and BC 'Diamond' Nelson...the 'god' ship of the Pacific Northwest! I used trade currents to speed her up and Deleflote as her extra action...ran gold with Banshee's Cry...somehow I won that game...
